Mobile Phones are easiest and simplest method to stay connected with others and moreover it provides a sense of security. Help is just a dial away in the event of emergency. However the importance of mobile phones is not limited to this only, it goes much beyond this.
Nowadays even the mid–range mobile phones come with loads of features. It really makes life so easier, so mobile. That’s what we call the POWER of MOBILITY.
Mobile phones are equipped with internet access, GPS, HD Audio capability, FM radio, Modern mobile phones comes with a inbuilt camera which can compete with many canon digital camera’s as well. More than half of the UK's 10 year-olds have a mobile phone. Also do you know majority of young women use their mobile phone to keep their men always on their toes and also avoid unwanted advances of men?
As for the kids, they seem to enjoy the freedom and better social life their phone gives them. It helps them to socialize and easy access to media and entertainment. But most importantly it provides them with a sense of belonging to their peer group. Don’t be surprised when you hear from a teenage girl that she feels like “unwanted” if the day passed without their mobile ringing. We can live without a tissot watch, a dirtydog’s sunglass, or pepe jeans but without a mobile phone is just so unimaginable, so scary. Mobile Phone is nothing less than a private secret diary for young people, just as the secret diaries of their parents at a similar age. Usually teenage girls/guys would not allow their parents to peek through their text messages, photos or mms.
Such is the IMPACT of mobile phone in our life.
